Coronavirus (COVID-19) Frequently Asked Questions

Last Updated: April 3, 2020

As Coronavirus (COVID-19) has become an evolving and uncertain public health issue affecting nations across the globe, we wanted to answer some of your questions regarding the continuity of your procurement needs amidst the pandemic.

If you have a question that you don’t see here, please email us at

What changes can we expect from a sourcing standpoint?

The spot market is now abundant due to a variety of factors including: sudden price surge scaring buyers away, retail supply gaps being filled by diverting FS cuts and consumers already being well-stocked due to earlier panic buying. As a result, we have seen prices plummet – however, the situation is ever-evolving, please connect with an Account Manager to talk through your procurement needs.

Will there be delays in securing product during this time?

We are currently not experiencing delays in securing product.  However, as we see major processing plants face mandatory closures due to COVID-19, this can change quickly.  While we are currently not facing any delays in securing product., this situation is constantly evolving. Please keep an open dialogue with your Account Manager to stay abreast of market conditions and supply availability.

What can I do to ensure my procurement needs are met?

Although it’s difficult to plan based on the rapid evolution of the COVID-19 story, carrying a small excess of inventory through this time can help to minimize potential delays in the supply chain. If you have further questions on protecting your business’ procurement needs, reach out to your Account Manager for more details.

What changes can we expect from a logistics standpoint?

Right now, there are no changes from a logistics standpoint. Our internal team has been diligent in working with our partners to ensure your fulfillment needs are met.

Will there be any changes to J.S. Ferraro's office hours?

No, there will not be any changes to our office hours at this time. They will remain 8:00AM – 4:30PM Monday to Friday.
